Roma Jam Session art Kollektiv is preparing a performative intervention for the 1st Roma Biennale in Berlin.
The performance involves three core members of RJSaK, and it consists of different asanas that are presented in togetherness, but not in synchronicity. The idea for this piece comes from Mo Diener, who says that it is necessary to talk about individual balance in the midst of racial discourse. The group will follow ten different asanas for a couple of deep breaths, and slowly move from one position to another without breaking of the flow. Their eyes are softly focused in the front, and their body awareness for oneself and each other is getting developed from moment to moment. Despite the up-beat musical background with the slightly ironic title, Verbal Fight by Shukar Collective, artists are keeping their bodies and visions focused, steady, aware and deeply present in reality.
